Story of Cool takes a look back at What Americans have considered "cool" throughout the decades and examines the people places and things that define this ubiquitous, amorphous word.

Tracey Ryans acts as cultural counsel for Tavistock Development Group's Lake Nona project, a 17 square mile live, work, play, wellbeing community surrounding nearly 2.5 sides of the Orlando International Airport. One of nine designated Iconic Cisco 1GB Smart + Connected Cities, Lake Nona is the innovation, medical and sports hub for Orlando, attracting corporations looking to expand their footprint where the cost of living is affordable, and the quality of life, cost of doing business and tax environment are favorable and supported by a strong workforce.
Ryans is co-owner of New York restaurants La Esquina, Miss Lilly’s and Metrograph Theater. From 2010-2014 he helped spearhead the revamp and relaunch of SoHo House NY. He is also a co-founder of Neuehouse and Grasmere Farm Membership and Resort in Rhinebeck, NY and a collaborator with Serge Becker at velvet rope spots like Volume and The Box.
Tracey has served on the board of The Kitchen, The Brooklyn Zen Center, the branding committee for the Central Park Conservatory, the marketing committee for The New Victory Theatre, a consultant to Frieze Art Fair NY and holds advisory positions for The New Museum, Performa and Marfa Ballroom, and The Brooklyn Greenway Initiative.
Tracey is a public speaker, stand up phenomenologist, practitioner of Chi Gong, Tai Chi, Soto Zen Buddhism, an avid sailor, and will continue to remind you that he came in first place at the 2014 BDDW Club of Archers Championship.
